Traditional leather uppers on the Granite provide superb comfort and water resistance. A waterproof sock liner provides a second line of defence when you have to wade through shallow streams. This combination of traditional and high-tech solutions to waterproofing makes the Granite perfect for tough trekking expeditions in wet climates. Despite being waterproof, the uppers and sock liner allow your feet to breathe, thus preventing the heat build-up and skin softening that may otherwise lead to blisters. A neoprene cuff supports yet cushions the ankle, minimising the time needed to wear in the boots from new. The technical footbed has six components, each working to provide proper foot support and cushioning and thus greatly reducing fatigue on long treks. The Vibram Viking outsole provides excellent grip on a wide range of terrain, from mud slopes to bare rock. A shoe bag is included.
